Vehicle Overview
Some of the most unique "restomods" out there are sleepers. They have rustic, aged looks on the outside, but major horsepower and torque on the inside. This 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom is no exception. With its unassuming patina exterior, the truck boasts over 450 horsepower from its Magnusson supercharged, all-aluminum 5.7-liter LS1 engine and puts power to the pavement courtesy of a modern four-speed automatic transmission coupled to a sturdy 12-bolt positraction rear axle. Keeping all this thrust pointed in a straight line is handled by the modern Ridetech suspension system. Up front are tubular upper and lower control arms with adjustable shafts while out back the truck is equipped with Ridetech's strong arm rear suspension kit. A set of Fox aluminum body shock absorbers with Hyperco coil springs keep the truck planted to the ground. The C10 rolls on custom Billet Specialties aluminum wheels wrapped in Continental Xtreme Contact performance tires. Wilwood brings all the excitement to a halt with its four-wheel disc brakes that feature cross-drilled and slotted rotors as well as the Wilwood aluminum tandem master cylinder. The LS1 engine makes all the right sounds via the Sanderson tubular headers and Borla stainless-steel X-pipe dual exhaust system. Other equipment includes the aluminum radiator with electric fan, modern air conditioning system and the Holley LS accessory drive system. Inside the cab is a custom upholstered bench seat and fully detailed interior with Dakota Digital VHX gauges, Ididit tilt steering column and a Billet Specialties aluminum steering wheel.
